Does Archie look as a normal Hermann should? Am a bit worried his shell is going a bit pointy. He's a 5 year old Male, just worried his shell is growing to fast?

Wrong picture, the above was Dolly, the new girl. SORRY!

Archie should be attached now. Trying to upload a number file isn't easy :)

The mo-hawk type pyramiding is a characteristic of captive tortoises, and I've only ever seen it on Hermanns. I think it is actually accelerated growth from a very rich diet. It's not harmful, though you may want to access his diet to slow the pyramiding.

One of Archies favourite foods is peas which I've been reading on here is not good. We feed him a mix of T-Rex and Mosodo aswell as greens.

He's a healthy boy and very active, infact a bit too active as he lives mainly indoors. He gets the odd bit of fruit now and again.

We are now looking at stopping the pointy shell issue and figured buying a growing area to grow dandelions and wild things indoors. We also hope this "mohawk" issue can be reversed as he grows as we don't want the same happening to Dolly!
