Unfortunately, none of the eggs appear to be fertile. Our largest female laid 2 eggs 49 days ago and 2 more 21 days ago. I wanted to find out thoughts on these? She has laid before, first 2 "clutches" each had 1 egg, then she laid 9 eggs! None of those were fertile. We do have male who is at least 14 years old. Thank you!View attachment 392266View attachment 392267View attachment 392268View attachment 392269View attachment 392270View attachment 392271
He definitely mounts her often so I assumed we would get some fertile ones but maybe he isn't actually connecting.Have you seen your male mount your female? If she were fertile, you should have quite a few more fertile eggs. Are you sure your male has done his job?
Once they start breeding they should be doing it quite often. The reason is more practical to be honest. Frequently when your male is on top of the female he may not actually be connecting (if you know what I mean). So they need to do it a lot so you are sure a connection has been made.
Either that or he is sterile? Something is wrong. He definitely mounts her often so I assumed we would get some fertile ones but maybe he isn't actually connecting.
Extra calcium build up, just a thicker part of the shell.I'm wondering what that worm-like thing is in the first picture?
Doesn't look good. What species?Still incubating just in case. The other 3 (there are 4 total) I haven't noticed anything different but this one has changed a good amount in the last 4 weeks. Is it just separation of whatever is in an infertile egg or is there maybe hope for this one?
