Thoughts on using this as a heat source for outside box?

I saw this and thought this would be an interesting source of heat and could double as a covered top area for a heated winter area for outdoor enclosure. I'm in Houston so lots of sunlight. What are ya'lls thoughts on this?
I love your creativity, but I would be worried that you can't control the temp, you are at weathers will and the torts cipould overheat. Hook it up to a thermostat and I think you are really headed in the right area!

Yeah, I agree. I think it might be ok for nights that don't get too awful cold, but if it freezes seems the water would cool down quickly.

What do you mean by water? I don't believe it uses water to work, unless you saw something I missed or referring to something else?
