That is the Three striped hill turtle, Melanochelys tricarinata, from India. Your right they aren't available in the US.

nice, i've never heard of these turtles before. they have an awesome name! i'd like to own a dragon turtle...! then i could just shorten it like i do all my other torts: i've got sulcatas, spiders, greeks, and DRAGONS! hehe...

one species i wish to keep soo bad but know its nearly impossible !!! the three lined hill turtle , very cool to see someone actually breeding them !!! good job and awesome turtles,,,JON
