Thuja , white cedar , arbor vitae within reach?

I have a new to me Russian tortoise. Former owner told me she is a baby but I’m quite sure that is not true!
She also told me she is a hybrid Russian x greek which also seems untrue.
I am planning an outdoor enclosure and one ideal area has some smallish white cedars (thuja green giant) trees I would like to put the enclosure around. I would plant edible weeds but my instinct is that these trees would be unpalatable to the tortoise? What do the experts think?

Cedar isn't a safe substrate, but cedar wood is fine as far as like building material.

They should be fine. I had some in my Russians old enclosure. All he did was climb it.

I’m sure your little guy might take a sample now & again and as you say find all of these cedar/pine not very tasty. Good luck.
