timer with mvb mega ray?

The only thing is, they won't come right back on when turned off, then on, until the bulb has cooled down.

Depends on the Mega Ray bulb. Some bulbs like their Metal Halide, only high quality timers are recomended. If in question, talk with Reptile UV. If you have their typical EB or SB bulb, most any timer should work.

Low quality timers are the mechanical or digital ones you can buy anwhere for $5-10. High quality ones are the mechanical ones that run about $60-80 at Home Dopot. I use an Intermatic ,mechanical timer.
