Tips on raising nicaraguan ornate slider?

So ive been wanting a turtle FOREVER and i am finally gettimg around to it! Im in love with the nicaraguan sliders but i havent had a turtle since i was 8 so does anyone have any tips, care sheets to jelp me out? Especially about how big the tank should be, it will most likely be a baby. Thanks!
