Hi everyone! I have TNT supplement on order for my tort, and it said on the site where I purchased it, that you only had to use this, and no other supplements. Can anyone who uses this product tell me what they do/recommend?
Thanks!

Provide that and cuttlebone and you are in good shape. Oh, and sunlight \ UVB needs, varied diet of healthy plants, correct temps and humidity, etc.... But yeah, you don't need to load up on all the stuff they try to sell you at the pet store... (shell oils, viatims, etc).

Should also note that if you are providing a good diet, you don't even need the TNT. The TNT is great for those stuck in an apartment who don't have access to a garden full of healthy greens and a nice big yard full of nice weeds and grasses for their tort to graze on.

Ok, I have most of that covered, except I am in a townhouse, and it is cold outside, so my tort is indoors.

My 3 egyptians are indoors, and there's not many weeds and plants I can get for them where I live (deep south texas, where it is always hot and humid). I bought the TNT to give to them because of that. It's really worked out for them. I just sprinkle it on their greens a few times a week. I also sprinkle just a bit of calcium once or twice a week, and once a week I give them a multivitamin. I provide a cuttlebone but they just climb over it instead :p Since I started using both the TNT and the multivitamin I've noticed alot of change in them. They've become way more active and are just doing awesome! Like the others said, just make sure temps, humidity, etc are all adequate for the tort :)

I believe in giving pure calcium powder on a regular basis, regardless of using TNT, because its water soluble and tough to overdose (D3 is easier to overdose, and one of the reasons I am against any sort of vitamin except TNT, which is all natural). I'd use a schedule such as daily for hatchlings, every other day for juveniles, every couple days for adults with the calcium. Supposedly torts will seek out the cuttlebone or even a dish of calcium powder when they need it, but better safe than sorry, especially if you are talking about a hatchling. Remember you need UVB plus the calcium. You can't overdo the TNT and I think its great. One tub lasts forever. I think I read once that you might want to freeze it to prolong shelf life? Not sure what the shelf life is on it, but I imagine after some point the nutrients have got to decrease. I've had mine for about 1.5 year now lol.

Yes, I am starting to worry that the calcium powder i am currently using is not the best because it has D3. I don't really think I need it.

You don't need it if your torts are getting ANY sunlight at all! Natural sunlight eliminates the need to use D3...enough said!
