Yesterday evening I set a trap down by the creek to catch a few crawfish for the snapper. A few more calories as we prep for winter.
However, during the summer, any and everything will make its way in, thieving water snakes, frogs, and turtles. Guess what I caught this morning?
Good old stank pot(yes stank) she was limp inside, so I gave her a good shake, tilted her down, and moved her head in and out until she coughed up the water.
Luckily she wasn't in there long she proceeded to musk and try to bite me.
Was gonna turn her loose, but looks like one of the crawfish did a number on her eye. I'm sure she would be fine, but I'll hang on to her until I make a final decision to keep her or not.
Look at them bad boys. "Two big nuggets...LOUNGING!"
and having a little prayer session looks like.
Hopefully I can catch more for the terrapin.
