!!!!Please Help!!!!

Hello thank you for reading. My boyfriends tortoise has been poorly for a while now and we are really struggling to figure out what’s going on or how to help her. Her eyes closed shut and would not open, we tried everything we could find online: bathing them, vitamin a supplements, changing/checking heat and humidity literally everything and nothing changed. We took her to a vet who explained they did not specialise in reptiles and had limited knowledge, they couldn’t help. They recommend we talk to an exotic pet shop who recommended some turtle eye drops for infections. We used this for a while and saw no change. Suddenly this week her eyes have kind of opened and look like this. (Pictures are screenshooted from a video and in video you can see her blinking) What is going on???? Is this her third eyelid still closed over her eye or is she blind or??? Does anyone know? Please please help we really don’t know what to do and no one is helping us. The closest reptile vet have said they cannot see her because she is not registered there and because of covid guidelines etc etc but will not let us register her? Please any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading. D5526591-F27A-45E7-BEA7-7685C3A234BB.png932E4650-01F5-4080-80BA-7E9FB15DFB1A.png

Vitamin A supplementation often causes more harm for tortoises when it comes to skin and eye issues. Aquatic turtles can suffer from Vitamin A deficiency, but tortoises get lots in their diet.

Do you see any excessive skin peeling that looks raw (red)?

Were you giving any supplements (powders on the food) prior to the issues beginning? If so, what products were they?

What were the supplements you used after the eye issues began?

As ZP said, what lighting are you using? What UV bulbs do you use and how high are they mounted?
