What do you mean they still see it even when it’s off?
I mean that they can still tell that it’s there, and it’s not invisible like it’s labeled as. Tortoises need total darkness at night, and red lights disrupt their sleep cycle.
I do not have it on when it is night

From the picture, it looks like he does have it. Pyramiding will never go away, but with the proper humidity and frequent soaks, you can stop it and the scutes will start growing normally.
