Tortoise tables..

Hi all another question! I just wanted to know are all tortoises allowed to live in tortoise tables or do some types have to be in a glass sort of habitat I'm just looking at buying maybe a golden Greek and all the pics I've seen they've been in a fish tank is this necessary?

I've noticed your multiple posts in the last days so I thought I'd chime in and try to get you some information to read. If this is your first tortoise, I can understand that deciding on the kind that's best for you, picking the best housing options, and learning their care can be really overwhelming. You've come to the best place you can to learn as much as you'd like though!

HOWEVER! You really, really, really need to do some of the legwork on your own. If you look in the forum list, you will see that there are "Species Specific" areas dedicated to each kind of tort. In these threads you will find discussions about that particular kind of tort. More importantly, you'll find "Important Threads" at the top that are the first place you should look when learning about a particular species.

For example, under the Greek Tortoise area in Species Specific, the very first link is to "Greek Tortoise (Testudo graeca) Care Sheet/Overview." In the overview, there is a section called "Caging" and in there it specifically discusses Tortoise tables.

You can find size information, housing requirements, dietary needs, etc. about all the different species if you browse the forum in that way.

Everyone here is really friendly and knowledgeable, but you will need to do some research on your own. By posting several threads back to back that ask the same questions, you will only end up causing confusion among the members here and causing everyone to become frustrated and confused- including yourself! None of us want to end up that way.
