Tortosie Beak split on side

Hey has anyone experienced this with this tortoise ? His side of his face is split from the side !

I'm having difficulty seeing it clearly. When the pictures are the size/resolution the open with Its kind of far away, and when I enlarge it gets blurry. Please post different ones with light shining onto his face rather than downward as it is in these.

When did this first show up?

You probably need to get the break trimmed by a vet to avoid it splitting any more.
