Planted one of the tortoise seed mixes here a couple of years ago, and it appears the trefoil has won out in this section and taken off. The tortoises of all ages love it. I keep cutting it by the handful and it keeps growing back and spreading.

Mine are still so little your quick growth has me jealous!!
I think this plot is now going in to its third year. Only in the last few months has the trefoil gone crazy and taken off. I hope it spreads. The tortoises love it.

Is this like a staple diet for sulcatas and leopards or more like treat once a week or month?

Somewhere in between. Grass should be the main staple for a sulcata, but trefoil is fine to use as part of the variety that makes up the rest. Once a week is fine. I think mixing some in twice a week would be fine.
