boy!

She (he?) exposed himself few times over the past few weeks.

We are trying to refer to her as a him now. Will take time.

Hatched November of 2016. We were leaning female, but we were wrong.

So many pp owners are getting primarily males. Out of all the pp I’ve raised up myself I’ve only raised up 3 females.

I would love to see any other photos of yours when you get time.

Thanks. Ask and you shall receive :)

These two are from the same shoot this morning.

This misses loves Twilight more than life itself. She's already declared, in a natural disaster she's grabbing Twilight first, then waking me up if time permits.

I should also declare that based on descriptions and pictures of other males I have seen, "her" plastron doesn't seem to be the slightest bit concave. Hence the surprise of sex.

Maybe I'm expecting to see too much?

I forgot the average age before they start flashing, can someone remind me? I thought for sure it would be more than 2 years old. I haven't been on the forum in ages.

Beautiful tortoise! Job well done. Both of my youngest confirmed PP males have zero concavity in their plastrons as of now. My largest PP male Fonzie didn't develop a noticeable concave until he was 12+ inches. PP can be very difficult to sex using the visual indicators that are used with babcocki males. Most people get flashed before they start noticing other indicators.
