The twins are going nice and strong. I finally freed them from the incubator after keeping them in there for a month or so. I wanted to make sure they were off to a healthy start. I'm still on the fence on what I want to do with them. I included their clutchmate who hatched a day after the twins. They are still noticeably smaller than all the other hatchlings that pre and post dated their hatch date. I will say they are totally outgoing and plucky. I have them with the rest of the hatchlings and they totally give as good as they get and push their way to the food with no problems. Enjoy.

Larger twin, would not cooperate to take pics:

I thought they would look smaller next to a tortoise that developed alone. That last picture really surprised me, maybe it was that extended time in the incubator? I'm assuming you fed them in there?

I agree, they don't look as small as I would have thought. Their heads look big for their bodies. So, just their shells need to catch up:D They all are beauties.

So glad to see this update. Just as I find unique carapaces interesting, so do I find those who are multiples (or come from huge or tiny eggs). I hope whatever and where ever their future is, that we continue to get updates on them... especially when they become breeders (if they do).

They were incredibly small when they hatched. The time in the incubator with the controlled temps really helped with their growth and overall health. They are noticeably smaller than the rest of the hatchlings, but I think with time they will be just fine with no size differences. And, yes they got food in the humid dungeon, smarty pants.
