Hello everyone,

I was hoping someone could kindly help me in making ideas to what i can do for my enclosure for my two tortoises. I'm moving house soon and I own two Russian tortoises! I've been finding it very difficult to find a decent sized tortoise table anywhere!

Currently I've got the following table:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/double-t...271589?hash=item28548dcf25:g:k~kAAOSwWxNYs55V

And the other is in a temporary Viv, which i'm planning to change hopefully! I want to pimp out my enclosures and make them look smarter, to do this i want to put both my tortoises in tables and i want them to stack ontop of each other.

Kind of like this:

The problem is, I've had no one in my life to show me how things are done nore give me DIY experience so I'm a newbie and learning! What kind of wood, screws and type of support to put two tables on top of each other to make it safe? I have some tools a drill ect.. I've done small wood work before but nothing major.

I want pointing into a direction so i know what wood to buy for the legs, what screws i need and i also want to paint them a different color, again I've had little experience in this area :')

I've also looked at the following as another possible route i could go:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Indoor-R...hash=item1ca67f545e:m:mIZ7d9vYHobNqyIhGp7_6Bw

I've read online some people use Guinea pig cages to house their tortoises in, this would solve my problem of stacking but is this big enough for a Russian tortoise?

Any advice is appreciated!

Thanks,

-Shaun

Each one needs to be a 4x8 foot. You will have to build one or have someone build it for you. Not really all that hard. Some 2x4's and plywood.
You could look for some raised garden beds and try to convert them into being one on top of the other.
