Uneven Shell Growth?

I've had my Russian Tortoise for over 2 years now and she's(we think it's a she) been doing extremely well. She ate well, had nice growth rings, didn't seem distressed, etc. However, just a few weeks ago, I've noticed that her growth ring is GIANT on one side and normal on the other. Both sides are the same color, but one is just significantly larger than the other. Is this a cause for concern and if so, what do I do about it?

this happens sometimes. I really don't know why, however, the overall silhouette of the tortoise has to adhere to a certain shape. So maybe one side has to grow more in order to keep that shape?????

How often do you soak? What is the enclosure humidity? Do you have damp substrate and a humid hide?

Often these carapace anomalies are due to overly dry indoor conditions.
