Here’s Shelly my 25 year old RF. I love her markings and they are similar to your baby RF
What is “HET”?
A "HET" is an animal which possesses just one gene of a pair of recessive genes which will produce the recessive genetic trait if an offspring gets the same recessive gene from both parents (IE, if both parents are hets and each passes the recessive gene to one of the offspring of the mating).

Scientifically, the two parents in the above example are each HETEROZYGOUS for the particular trait in question. To make it easier to say, such animals are simply referred to as "HETS" in the vernacular.

In this particular case, I believe the OP wants to know if anyone believes his Redfoot is heterozygous for what is called hypomelanism. Those hypomelanistic Redfoots are generally called "HYPO" Redfoots or HYPOS" for short.
