Having only posted once here I decided that I should update everyone on how my about 2 year old African Sulcata is doing!
Comet’s about 6 inches long and in my opinion growing a fairly smooth shell(would love to hear other opinions as well). She is kept on a large about 4’ x 6’ tortoise table with deep organic soil and a mix of coco coir and cypress mulch to dig in which is easily kept at about 80-90% humidity when sprayed down daily. I grow clovers and a mix of grasses in a corner for her to graze. Her outside pen is generally the same except much larger! Soakings are multiple times weekly whenever I get the chance and whenever she decides to wade in her water dish. From day one she’s been the most active tortoise opting out of naps to go investigate the new plant I just put in! I look forward to participating in the forum much more though as there is still so much to learn! Thanks for taking the time everyone
