Hello. It's poring rain here in Phoenix AZ right now and has been for the past 24ish hours... the modifications I made to Ragnarok's burrow were not exactly waterproof... I found him (her?) out of his burrow in a corner, covered in mud, soaking wet, and freezing. I brought him inside, gave him a nice warm soak, got all the mud off and put him in a box full of shredded newspaper on the back porch so he stays in hibernation mode. What should I do until the rain stops and his burrow is dry again and I can fix it? How do I artificially hibernate him?
Or is what I have fine for a few days?
thanks. :D

As long as where your keeping the box is dark, cool, and quiet, it should be okay. I use to keep mine in a closet.

Elmer (elderly CA DT) did for years. It was not in a heated room.
