Using a grow light for a local hydroponic store helped A LOT! Seeing as how here its about 4degrees outside today lol

Also I did a 2" layer of hydroballs so retain water under the grass as a sort of an aquifer.

What kind of grow light? I have a new uvb bulb for my torts that says it "stimulates plant growth" we will have to see. What kind of grass is it? Bermuda?

Thank you also.

Also, is the foil atop your cage to help with humidity?

It's a combination of sulcatafood.com 's grass seed and a sulcata weed mixture I got from another site...don't remember it's name right now unfortunately.

Yes I did have foil to help with humidity but I have removed it. It locks in the humidity just fine but my temperature sky rockets. Now I have moisened towels on top of the screen lid...humidity is perfect and so is the temps.
