Larry is 8mo. Old and I know it's way to early but any signs of what he is leaning toward?

Looks like Larry has two gulars. How strange. I would like to see another baby sulcata to compare the gular Maybe that's just how they look at a young age.

The cloaca seems to be far away from the body, which would mean male.

What does 2 gulars mean ?

The gular scutes are the scutes (shell plates) under your tortoise's neck on the plastron (undershell)

From my point of view the gular scutes are Joe's weapon. They're what ram into my ankle bone if I'm not paying attention and he's being his territorial self. They hurt!

My male had the same neck yours does. here is a pic of him as a baby and him now at 3.5 years here is is now. Total boy

That is normal baby looking gulars, As to sex ask again when he is over 10 inches long.
