Are these safe for my Tortoise? They are the first weeds of the year in my yard, I never thought I'd wish so hard for dandelions :) thanks.

@Iochroma may know as well. I recognize the top pic as a thistle that grows to 3 - 4 feet tall and is a real treat if stepped on in bare feet.

I know, I hate that one and plan to destroy it. But if it is good for my Taurus to eat I will give her one when it is small. But it is pretty prickly.

I would skip the furry thistle; usually they don't like leaves with that fuzzy texture. The others don't look like good candidates either.
Go foraging at the edge of some farmland, or in an unpopulated area. You're bond to find dandelion and plantain in SW Washington.

Okay bye-bye thistle I hate that stuff anyway. I did find some dandelions down the street at the neighbors. It's a long walk to any sort of wilderness :) and I live in South East Washington I should have a bunch of wild geranium coming up soon, she really likes that. And I finally got good enough weather to plant some of the weed seeds in the outdoor enclosure so she changed in about a month I will have a lot of stuff for them to eat.
