I believe I have identified the weed I was asking about. It looks like it is a blue mustard, chorispora tenella, sometimes called musk mustard. It is edible for humans. I think it would be okay for my Russian tort, as mustard greens are okay.
What do you all think?

Interesting article. The plant in my yard looks just like the plant in the article. It is growing all by itself. The only one I can see.

Perhaps everywhere; I had never heard of such a thing. I can’t think of any blue flowered brassicas offhand.
