So we’ve decided to weigh our little nugget each week, this week she has gained 4g.
Is there an average weight gain for Russian tortoises?

That sounds pretty normal to me. My little guy actually gained 4g this week too. He went from 52 to 56g. But he's a Marginated, not a Russian. I don't know if there's an average weight gain, but seeing steady growth is a good thing.

Weight will vary according to diet, exercise, season etc .. it is great your keeping a log you will see bursts and also weight loss which you can monitor. Tip... Weigh weekly before food intake.
