Kind of irrelevant, but when I got my tort he had these weird marks on the bottom of his shell. Was it a bite?

Should I be worried? Or is it just growth?
Hard to be sure looking at a picture but I'm thinking it's just the shell pattern/color.
Looks like something might have cause an indentation on the left side, but I don't see anything abnormal in the right circle. If it was a bite mark, there would be corresponding marks on the top of the carapace too, and it would be a lot worse.
