At no age. A viv is always better and more controllable, unless the room temp and humidity is exactly the same as what you want in your table for the tortoise.

What are the dimensions of your viv? You don't specifically need a table, but you may need a size upgrade.

I have just rescued a tortoise and it’s in a 3by2 Viv but she is 6 yrs old so it’s too small so going to need new one just trying to decide what size I need

Something around 8x4 ft. is a good starting point (there is some flexibility in proportions, of course).
Providing large space outdoors is, of course, better.
