The top picture looks like seedlings from a mimosa tree - edible

the bottom picture looks similar to spurge, but I'm not quite sure.

I take it back...the top one looks a bit like spurge too.

Sorry...I can't help you with these two pictures.

A closer picture would help, but the second looks like a type of clover/legume, which is edible

Pinch off a stem and if it bleeds white sap its spurge - edible in small quantities

I kind of thought the same thing, but it's hard to tell

I think whats in the first pic may grow up to look like this. I have it growing in the yard and in several pots and it looked like what you have when it was young. It's not on my food list of feeding it regularly but some times I offer it and it is eaten. The pic is not the best, I took it in the dark and a drizzle is falling. I made the pic a little bigger than I usually post hoping it can be enlarged for better viewing.

Len: The weed in your patriotic picture is spotted spurge.

Which one should I pinch off? I will try for closer pictures, but I think they both got mowed down. I couldn't find them today.

That bottom one really looks like a mimosa tree seedling. Is there a mimosa tree close to your house?

The top two almost look like some sort of clover.

I third the diagnosis: 2 different plants. first one is a clover/legume, second one is something else.

We have Mimosa trees everywhere here....and we also have the Chamberbitter ....both seem to grow like weeds. I haven't found info on if it's edible for tortoises or now. My tortoises have taken a bite here and there, but generally seem to leave them alone.

No Mimosa trees. Is chamberbitter safe?

Yvonne there are only two weeds. I'm not sure what top two you are talking about. Do you think there are three types?

I have both of these in my yard and my little guys run right to it when it is in their playpen. Both my Sullys and Leos will pass right over clover and dandelion to get to this stuff, which leads me to believe it is only good for them in small quantaties. LOL...
