What I feed my tortoises

I wanted to share with you what I feed my tortoises 4 days a week. when I pick the grass is I need I go to a field where we rabbit hunt. I know the owner of the property and I know that he does not treat the field with any chemicals. I use a lot of Bermuda and orchard grass. there is also and abundant source: of red clover and kudzu vines. I will fill a paper bag full of just the grass and a few kudzu leaves. When I get home I add food from my garden. I will add cactus pad Muscadine leaves hibiscus. Mulberry leaves dandy lions. I will then chop the grass and leaves up then I add the cactus and half a cup of wet Mazuri tortoise diet. Then I add supplements and calcium mix it all up and watch them devour it. I keep the sulcata and the Aldabra food the same however I will add a fruit like grapes or cantaloupe to the aldabras meal. Not a lot just enough to give her a little flavor. the other three days I let them free range in there habitat

Absolutely excellent....good stuff for sure, especially the free grazing days....those days allow you to live it up on the food offerings....good stuff...
