That looks like something touched it and burned onto the surface. They get very hot.

Yes working great...its just very weird.

If it were me, I'd consider buying a backup, just in case, or even replacing it. I know they are costly. It seems like that shouldn't happen. Makes me wonder what else could go 'wrong' if this is indeed wrong. Weird.
