There's no way of knowing that because:

A)- the animal is captive bred and looks as such therefore and any telltale characteristics are not really usable or even visible.

B)- it's an eastern Hermann's tortoise (Testudo hermanni boettgeri) and besides 2 or 3 known locales, the rest are literally identical with an incredible amount of variability.

Unfortunately, differentiating locales of the eastern Hermann's tortoise is not as easy as it is with the western. Even some captive bred and distorted westerns can still be placed in a proposed local. This just isn't usually the case with the eastern.

Yours is classic looking for animals that originally derive from Greece, Romania, Albania, Bulgaria and other places as well.
