Hi,
I live in the United Arab Emirates and was given a tortoise by someone who had found it wandering near her house & no one claimed it.
I 'm trying to work out it's breed and sex, so if anyone can help I'd be grateful.
It is about 13 cm long, and here are some photos of it.
Thanks
Sam

Can I ask why loads of people on this forum are calling them 'gracea' for the Latin name, that's the 3rd person I've noticed in the last 2 days. It's 'testudo graeca'

I think it was just misspelled.

I know that some of the people that are spelling it incorrectly pronounce it 'grayka,' so that's why I think its just being misspelled. Otherwise they would be pronouncing it 'graceea'.

A more common name would be the "Spur-thigh" or even more common "Greek tortoise."
Good luck :)
