By "common here" do you mean commonly kept as pets, or do you mean there are native, wild tortoises like this where you are? The closest wild Horsefield tortoises would be along the border of Pakistan and Afganistan, which is quite a bit north of where you are. That is Testudo (Agrionemys) horsefileii bogdanoviIts common here.
Some people called it Afghani Tortoise.
But I searched images on google of Russian tortoise. And they are similar to mine.
