I've read the tortoise care sheet and have seen what can be fed, and have had other topics about this but a lot were about planting them and growing them my self. Well it's coming to that time of year when frankly it's too cold to really grow anything. So my question is what is good things I could buy from the grocery store? So if anyone has good information on this please comment !

You can grow good stuff indoors too. If you must use grocery store food, favor endive and escarole, but use lots of variety. You can also supplement with some blended grass hay or herbal hay mix. You can feed collard, mustard, dandelion and turnip greens, cilantro, radiccio, squash leaves and blooms, celery tops, carrot tops, boo choy, chard, watercress, etc... Spring mix and Santa Barbara mixes are good too.

Hi there, Elnewman622. Tom had some very good ideas!

I shop primarily at SaveMart and Food4Less for my Russian tortoise's goodies. I prefer these stores due to the variety of foods they have. I regularly purchase kale (feed in small amounts please), mustard or collard greens, radicchio, parsley, rosemary, thyme, and chopped-up baby carrots. I store them in my fridge away from other foods and they can last weeks. I usually rip off pieces of everything and mix them together.

You can feed them rose petals as well. Please be cautious of any outdoor or "wild" plants you feed them, as they could be sprayed with pesticides. Avoid any plants near roads if you want to feed your tortoises something outside that you KNOW is okay.

Be cautious with spinach. I had read mixed things about it, but I have never had personal experience (I've been too afraid to risk anything).
