What weed is this?

I live in Phoenix, AZ. Can someone identify this weed flower for me? They are orange, but the flash makes the second pic look yellow. I've searched, but can't find an exact match. Thx!tia-1857691170.jpg20180325_163948.jpg

It looks more like a gazania. See how the petals are single and straight. You can google to confirm. I don't know if they are safe to eat.

None of my gazania are monochrome like that, but the shape and petals is very similar. You might be right.

@Iochroma may I ask for your expertise here?

If it is gazania, those are good tortoise food. Both the plant and the flowers.

Yes I just looked it up! Osteospermum 'African Daisy'. My avatar is a gazania and it definitely differs from it.

I think the flower I was originally thinking of was Calendula
