Where did everyone get their tortoises?

I found an ad on Craig’s list and purchased from an individual Breeder from Oklahoma. He was much cheaper than a local PE store & He seemed knowledgeable at the time ...but now I know different. My babies were started dry and are very small compared to what I’ve read on this forum. They are getting lots of humidity now and are eating well so I’m going to monitor their weight gain closely!

I am in the UK and have just rehomed two 12 year old boy Hermann's (two weeks ago) from a friend of a friend, never kept tortoises before, they came with licences and all equipment, enclosures etc. I love them, they are very tame, they rampage around outside climbing under and over things and they snuggle up to me and sleep after they have had a bath. I find them fascinating.
