Now that I have a yard I'm trying to start growing my own tort food (I still have terrible soil so I'm stickiing to pots). I have some opuntia and hardy hibiscus that are doing very well and now I'm looking for elephant grass. The only place I can seem to find it is sulcatafood.com which is a great site but it's $35 for one root which seems steep to me. If anyone has any ideas they would be much appreciated. I'm also looking for suggestions on other tasty things I could grow in pots for the torts!
