Where to get first tortoise from?

I'm looking into getting my first tortoise, though I'm not entirely sure where to get one from. I was mainly looking into getting a Hermann's tortoise. I have looked around, but I'm not sure where to find reliable places. I already know I'm not getting one from Petco or PetSmart, and I was likely going to get one from a breeder or expo, once those begin to happen again.

I agree! Chris is awesome! I got mine at Arizona Tortoise Compound, but I have used Chris from Garden State Tortoise as my main source how to raise my baby Hermann's tortoise.
I have watched many of his videos and read his websites.
