White squiggly lines on carapace

I have noticed these weird white squiggly lines on my 3 month old Russians carapace recently... it couldn't be calcium deposits from the water as the water where I live is incredibly soft. I think it could be from growth but I'm not sure- any input would be greatly appreciated.
