My wife feeds wild birds.
Long story short. Seeds fall. Plants grow and my tortoises eat them.
I have no idea what type of plants.
Tortoise Supply sells seed packets with seeds designed for your specific tortoise type.
It's a better idea I'll bet...

Ahh thanks for replies guys. I would love to purchase my seeds from tortoise supply, but unfortunately they don't ship to the UK.

It usually takes a week to ten days , I used to just throw it under the reptibark in his pool , now that his enclosure is bigger I plant it in shallow trays ! ;) Here is an old pic of him enjoying his "recycled" parrot food ! :)

In addition to Shelled Warriors, I've seen them on Amazon and some reptile shops in the UK sell the tortoise seed mixes too.

If you look at the contents , you will see a lot of grasses, weeds, oats , barley and etc. Now that Speedy is bigger , he tears them out before they have a chance take hold ! Bigger tort , bigger plants I guess ? I have a hibiscus and a grape vine in pots , he loves the leaves and follows me all over his pen to get them ! I also have squash and pumpkins started , I went for "vined" plants so I can put them high and they will hang down for him to munch on ! ;)

We grow runner beans up canes on our side of the tortoise fence. When we go away we untangle a plant (removing the beans for us) and drop it Joe's side giving him some great leaves to chomp on in our absence.

Thanks for the advice. I've currently started agrow in a plastic ice cream container, so far so good touch wood! Why didn't I think of vines in the first place :/ They are selling mulberry & grape vines at my local grocerys right now. I shall invest in afew plants.
