have just moved my 3 year old sulcata outdoors full-time. when out there she self-soaks in a big pan in her enclosure. but, i'm wondering about what to do about soaking her this winter?

i'm just guessing right now that she's probably 22+ lbs. and about 17-18". it's been a couple months since i've weighed and measured her and she's had a huge growth spurt since then.

we have built an insulated house for her with a heater for winter. we'll have water in there for her to drink, but i'm wondering what to do about soaking?

i live in missouri and last winter was extremely cold. trying to decide if i'll need to bring her indoors to soak her in the bath tub each week over the winter or if she can go awhile this winter without needing a soak?? is it necessary?

I would soak her indoors in a warm room in a large tub with warm water once or twice a week. Electric heat can be very desiccating and the soaks will do her a world of good.

i will plan on that then. that's true about electric heat. i hadn't thought about that. i know how bad it is on myself during the winter. my office at work is heated with a small electric space heater in winter. so, yeah ... i'll plan on doing that. hope to have pictures up soon of her new outdoor enclosure.
