Wolowitz in a strange position

I thought this was rather funny. He seemed to be looking for something in the water. Check out the stretch on that hind leg! His shell really looks messed up, but i know it can take a long time to heal.

( i did recently trim his nails, they are down to the quick, so can't go any shorter- i am hoping when we move him outside they will wear down better)

Funny boy! Sometimes we'll catch Vern with his neck extended all the way out with his head pointed up resting on the wall, looking up all pathetic like, "Please let me out!"

Adding some flat rock to walk and eat off of helps with keeping nails trimmed. However, they do have long nails that is normal.

he is standing on a flat rock in this pic. i keep one in the water so they can get in and out easier. The new enclosure will have a lot of flat rocks

Not to familiar with box turtles..But My male Sulcatas does that when he is either pooping or (how should I say it.) . Showing his manhood....
