Wood turtle - sore on mouth?

Hi all, I have had my wood turtle for about a week and she appears to have a cut on the side of her mouth. I want to be sure I treat it properly. Any help is greatly appreciated.

That's an area that's hard to heal because every time they open the mouth it breaks the injury open. Try to keep some sort of ointment on it, like Neosporin, something to keep it soft and keep a hard scab from forming. Temporarily cutting up the food into smaller pieces may help. That way she doesn't have to open her mouth real wide to bite.
