016.JPG 017.JPG 018.JPG So I've been looking at other tortoise pictures and I don't see any that appear worn around the neck area. Is this something to worry about? It's not dust or anything, I've tried wiping it off, but it just looks like the shell around her neck is faded like a used shoe or something.

She has also had this patch of skin on the top of her head that I thought she has been trying to shed for months. When I took her home in December she was super dry, I think maybe it never healed fully? What do you guys think?

Looks normal....it is common place for the color to do just that....I can speculate a load of reasons, just as the others here can....is the tortoise "business as usual"? If yes, I would not worry myself...just my view.

Good to know, I was worried because I did not see any tortoises with their shell color rubbed off like that so I wanted to make sure it wasn't a shell fungus or anything. Thanks!
