Worried Owner

I have an 8 year old herman tortoise called Flash, I noticed yesterday that both his front legs have worn patches of skin, not sure if it's the shell running the skin away. Has anyone else ever had this problem? Thank you.

Hi, and welcome to the Forum!

If you think the edges of the shell are a bit sharp, you can GENTLY use a fine grade sand paper and smooth them out. But just the edge. Don't go too deeply. Or you can put some masking tape on the edge.
