One of Josh's other Forums that I moderate (Apistograma.com) has a neat idea that I think would be useful to us here on this Forum. They have a template with all the questions we have to ask new members about the way they care for their animal, and when new member asks a question as to why their fish is acting this way the refer them to the template and link it for them. That way WE don't have to keep asking the same questions over and over.

Would any of you like to put together a template for us so we can link it instead of having to ask the same questions?

Here's the Apistograma template:

I guess my question is: do people actually use that template on that forum? Not that I don't think it's a great idea. 🙂

It's a small forum with a very few members responding, so it's easy for all the regulars to be of one mind when it comes to NOT answering the question, but giving them the link and asking it to be filled out.

I remember talking about this here before. I think someone did it, and it was just never really adopted by everyone for some reason...
I think what you're remembering was asking everyone to link the FAQ section for answers

These are always the questions I’m most curious asking new folks! Obviously you don’t have to use them, but figured I’d drop them here🙂

What species do you have?
Adult or baby?
Indoors or outdoors?

If indoors..
What are your temperatures like all over? Ie basking temp(directly under the bulb), overall day temps(middle and cooler side), night temps?
What kind of basking bulb is being used specifically? Packaging photos are good
Do you use indoor uv? If so what kind?
What’s humidity reading?
What’s the substrate?
What kind of monitoring do you have?
What’s diet been like?
