Does anyone eat these eggs? (I don't think I could, but really would there be anything wrong with it? I'm sure it is a delicacy somewhere

Turtle/tortoise eggs are a delicacy in many countries...I'm guessing she's never known Reptile Romance, then? (BTW, in some species, a female can retain live sperm for a few years, so if she's ever been bred, those eggs might be viable).

In case she's never had the opportunity, otoh, here's recipe to try, learned down in Mexico:

Turtle Egg Omelette:
•1/2 cup chopped, cooked turtle meat (It's understood, obviously, that you'll prefer to substitute chicken breast or chorizo!)
•6-8 turtle eggs
•1/4 cup milk
•1/2 cup chopped onions
•Salt and pepper to taste
•1 tablespoon fat
•Grated cheddar or pepper-jack cheese to taste
•Pico de gallo

1.Combine eggs, milk, onions, and salt and pepper.
2.Heat fat in a skillet. Add egg mixture. Lift with a spatula allowing liquid to run underneath.
3.Spread chopped meat and cheese over the eggs, then fold.
4.When the cheese has melted, serve with Pico de gallo over toast.

Serves 4

Might as well utilize the eggs...we have pet chickens, each with their own name and place in our hearts...and I have a Spanish Omelette almost every Sunday.

That is too awesome Terry!

I have to admit I get the little stomach turn at the idea, but my rational brain says why the heck not? Waste not, want not.

I know that I'm so wrong about this, and it might sound crazy, but the thought of eating all this stuff is making me sick.
