I received this "found" sulcata early this a.m. She was found in the foothills east of Fresno, not good weather for a tortoise, as it gets pretty cold. The finders thought the tortoise was dumped, however they put up signs on the utility poles along the road in front of their house.

The tortoise is about the size of half a basket ball, and MAY be female, as the anal scutes point straight back. But this might change as the tortoise gets bigger. She's not very sociable and is afraid of humans:

If you live in the Fresno/Clovis area and are looking for a nice sulcata, she is available for no fee. I only need to come see the space where she will be kept so I can be sure in my mind she's going to a safe and secure home.

Has this tortoise found a home? I am in Tucson, AZ and can provide an outdoor enclosure with supplemented heat in the winter.
