ZooMed Heat Cable

Has anyone used ZooMed's Repti Heat Cable?

Just happens to be a little cheaper than whats on Big Apple (especially with free shipping) and according to the packaging, it is water-proof. I was intending to use it like Chris illustrated in this thread.

Anyone have experience with this product?

I would go with the one from Big Apple Herps whitch is waterproff ZooMed's is water resistant

It is tempting, especially if you can get free shipping on Amazon. I have used the Zoo Med cable in a dry box outside stapled to the interior sides, where I was not worried about moisture, and it worked fine.
But I agree, using it the way Chris describes (which is a wonderful set up), the Big Apple Herp cable is very reliable and safe. You can pour water right over it.

I use it in my current 40 gal breeder tank. I think it works great.
